Hm... I do not know where to put this but... Is anyone interested in sharing how they learned they are/were a deity? I believe we are... Though it's hard to understand what makes that so for ourselves. And to really accept it. Why not just a random spirit? I am new to this feeling though also feel I've always known. I understand if this is also too personal for a public space

I’ve known that my true draconian self is/was divine since my awakening. I’ve always had this connection to the sky/stars that made my being feel like I had more than a normal connection to them. Whenever I think about my true draconian self, I think about the stars, galaxies, and the sky themselves as being a part of her. It’s hard to explain in words to be honest.

Though, I don’t see myself as divine upon this earth by any means. This human body is as normal as it gets.

One kintype of mine might have been worshipped at some point in it's life but i never considered myself to be a deity in that life or in this one. Just a weird entity. So I wouldn't say I was a goddess despite being labeled as one.

unfortunately my answer is "i always knew". in my understanding of being a deity, i'm not just a random spirit because of the level of knowledge and control i have over my element and all that interacted with it. i was a complete river--i had whole ecosystems within and around me that i knew how to care for, knew what it entailed, what the consequences of various issues and solutions would be, etc. if i were a simply water spirit, i might have just been a pond, or a spirit made of a smaller amount of water. but the sheer size i was, and the amount of control over the forces of nature (including my ins with other types of spirits, in order to help those humans that asked my assistance) made me far more,,, advanced?

I feel as if I understand that very well. I feel as if, due to myself (and others in my system) hiding ourselves from community due to fear of being shunned or just 'being wrong'/weird. (Our first experience in the kin community was Therian Guide unfortunately.. for context.) We did not... Have context for how long we'd lived and what we know. I've seen many planets begins and endings though I myself am part of a bigger deity as well - one who would start the chain reaction that began life (think a space object crashing into a water planet that ends up having life materials on said object that then facilitates life, ) We also have been told that we were a deity of some sort by other beings who recognized us from some time ago. Of course we were a bit skeptical but our memories weve had over time definitely line up in a similar way to what you've said. I do not know about if I was really ... Worshipped because i remember that in my purely spiritual state I am quite independent and not interested in others attention While I certainly feel very spacy I also feel of earth in some way, but not this earth per se. In short, I resonate with what you've said strongly

only you can define whether you were a deity. if i didnt already feel like a deity, then the pure fact that the people who worshipped me calling me one would've solidified it.

I want to ask you all what its like to dream for you and how often you have draconic dreams? I'm trying right now to meditate on the feelings of being a dragon in the morning to make it more likely I'll dream as one. I've found that it's sometimes easier if I just happen to be a dragon in the dream, vs becoming lucid and fully turning into one. Or I sometimes am not fully shape-shifted.

It's honestly not the most common experience for me but i'd like to do it more

For me it's like uuhh...well it can depend but often my dreams involve people in my current life, mostly family members. Then the dream tries to tell a story from that. I had one recently that I'd love to tell because I got a rather easy interpretation from it. As for dragon dreams, I actually don't get those often. Very rarely actually. And when I do I feel like I'm in a human shape pretending to be a dragon and the subconscious people in my head believe it. (edited)

My dreams are usually in the third person and extremely random and all over the place. Nothing feels consistent and bizarre things happen to me. I rarely see friends, family, or even coworkers funny enough. To me, it's almost closer to astral projection but not lucid dreaming.

It's similar to watching a movie where I'm an actor in a story I have no control over.

I recently found while camping that sleeping on a harder surface helps me have better dream recall and lucidity

I only rarely have dreams in which I have a dragon body. I really wish there would be more. However, if you count the dreams where I have a human body but do "dragon-y" things, you'd be getting maybe 2 or 3 times as many. If I'm lucid, I often try to change my form to draconic, which may or may not work out.. often there seems to be a kind of barrier, something that pulls me back to human. Still sometimes I was able to achieve a dragon form, or at least transform part of my body, with a remarkable level of "reality feeling". To the point that I could touch my own dragon body and have tactile feedback. That's amongst the best dream experiences I got so far. Imagine you reach down your spine to your tail.. and it's really there.

One day if I can work up the confidence and I have enough information to share, it'd be great to do a panel on creating a dragon future life and how to do it. I want to give other spiritual Otherkin hope that it's not all in the past. We came back as Dragons and other species before in other worlds, so there's nothing stopping us from doing it again. Except maybe ourselves.

I spent a lot of time during my awakening channeling my species dysphoria into thoughts about a future life and my anxiety about whether or not it was possible. I remember being incredibly stressed out.

Plus I think it would be a neat discussion to have. We could even design our own ideal dragon selves, if they don't look exactly the same as we used to.

It's a funny coincidence since I'm already planning to offer a panel on the state of research on past lives for the next Summit. It might be possible to extend that towards future lives @Amarynth, and entertain a bit of speculation about it. I think we're on the best possible way by exploring our True Selves and making plans where to go next, such that we have clear aim for when we're cast into a sea of endless potential after this life. Can't possibly be too wrong.

I've already got a vague idea what I'm looking for. Jeida, my OC but in a different context. Perhaps a mixture of my kintype and Jeida, same species but with green hair/fur in places.

I think realising there might be a choice about the next life and having a vague idea about it might already be enough to succeed. Considering most ppl don't even give a single thought about it.

I've read a lot of spirituality books and it never comes up. It's far easier to become obsessed with past lives than to think about future ones.

What about the one that talked about knowing your whole life journey, all your past and future selves, and that we all have to experience every role in some way? I seem to remember it implied that your future lives are pre-determined in a way, by your choices in the present.

That's it.. just what I thought meanwhile. Not the brutal part, but.. see, we tend to think in materialistic ways. But if I understand right, then our bodies, this whole reality is nothing but a symbol for ourselves that allows us to make specific experiences. But that means the key question is: what experience does one want to have in the next life? The beauty in answering this is that one can already try to experience that in this life as far as possible, such as to continue that experience in a better setting in the next one. Likewise, one should strive for exploring which experience should be made in this life, and try to make it to the fullest.

I've also thought about the technology-nature relation.. it seems a primary reason for my current life is to experience technology, but that is also only a symbol. It could symbolise control - control of nature, to be specific. Now, taking this one step further, since nature is me, the goal-experience for me could be self control. In my dreams, I see technology as a threat, that's self-control gone too far. But it's just one line of thought. Anyhow, I wouldn't mind a bit less technology in my next life.

A wise person once said, "Give away what you need most."

In our spiritual experiences, we have allot of alternate lives that end and then add to the system Like myself, and Kira and most recently Belos (now under a new name, Alden) We have many connections to alternate lives that are still occurring in our perspective and while we are aware of these ties we don't know who they are until we recover those memories. I used to speak to our system and front occasionally, but it felt similar to and sometimes literally was, walking and talking in a dream. I very much feel that I am here for a reason, to experience things, and to have all our collective lives heal in some way in the time frame we have on this earth. I have reason to believe our soul or consciousness was shattered in some way and this is how our soul (whatever that is) is recuperating (edited)

I certainly would love to attend/listen to such a panel. I've been hearing about some 'kin having "future lives" but I'm like not... Sure what it means or how is that even a thing.

It's not that obvious to everyone. I personally believe future lives are possible but honestly, it is confusing to me too.

To a lot of people, the future doesn't exist yet so it's hard to understand the concept of a future already existing.

basically it goes with the idea that time is not linear and there is a set timeline out of many that takes place later down the road than now. a being can access the thoughts, ideas, feelings, and memories of this future self

i see time as more of a sphere and my soul projects through many timelines at once, like a line piercing through this sphere, though i only have full access to this current consciousness because of this life's body. my other selves all exist as one because time is an illusion. all that ever happened happens forever and all that will happen is happening forever

Interesting! I view my experience more as being set in the time whatever body I am in lives. So despite my time as a dragon being set in the past, I could easily have a life in my "past" that hasn't happened in the time we share here on earth. It's hard to put into words in a way that makes sense though heheh.

lets not forget the ones where it isn’t past or future, but at the present. Whether it be parallel lives living in one experience, or a simple concurrent thing that may or may not be overlaying experience, such as astral self awareness, or other ways to be concurrent.

My problem with trying to plan a future life is that I don't want one, not in the sense that's been discussed here. I still hold to the beliefs I had as a dragon. We were part of the essence of nature once, part of the essence of the universe. I call myself a forest spirit because that is what I feel the most strongly connected with, the essence of the forest. And in my dragon life, it was believed that at death we returned to that state, bringing with us the fullness of the life we had as a single entity. But something went sideways with my death, and while I became a spirit I didn't return to my original state. I remained an individual, a "ghost" if you will. I chose to become human out of curiosity, but now that I'm here I really desire to return to my original state, as I should have done, when this life is over. Will I get to? I have no idea. I honestly don't want to know, and at any rate I don't want to plan a future life and wind up locking myself into a cycle of reincarnation. I wanna fulfill my purpose as a forest spirit given dragon form.

That's really Interesting! I wish you the best c: I don't really want to plan my future beyond this life either. There are things I wish for but ultimately, I'll just go with the flow. If I'm given choices, I'll make them in the moment, when the time comes. I tend to fear losing the ability to experience the life I have now. It's nowhere near anything I want and I would be lying if I said this world is one I enjoy, considering how I often feel trapped in the way we humans made life be for ourselves but I'm me now and I'm here now. So might as well enjoy the good and learn from the bad while I'm here. I'd lose a lot if I constantly submerged myself in the idea of a better future or indulged too much in escapism. (As in to an unhealthy level)

I have seen some otherkind mentioned that they are simultaneously living the human life and an other, nonhuman life, and that is on the astral plan. For them, that is concurrent, and… I speak many words that isn’t proper term, but merely my understanding of the concept. Apologies for the confusion
