Gonna attempt to start a little discussion here! What is your favorite among your heart-types? Or, if you prefer, what is your most unusual/uncommon heart-type? For me, my favorite is probably horses. It's my strongest heart-type in terms of connection. My most unusual is probably that I am hearted with the Pacific Ocean, and I can't say I've ever met anyone else with that heart-type before (although I'd love to meet someone with an ocean heart-type!)

I only have one confirmed hearttype—Naruto. I’m linking another hearttype, dragonite. between the two, I can’t really say which is my favorite, they both have special place in my heart. They are all part of me. Oh, I forgot I’m also trying and keep forgetting that I’m linking a enfield as another hearttype. I guess that one’s the most unusual one out of the three? (edited)

Probably chickens, which when stated makes us sound like a coward in the English language. ‘Chickenhearted’. Really a shame when they’re such brave animals.

I'm questionning a cat hearttype ^^ But maybe the connection I feel just stems from the fact that I grew up with cats

I've also been drawn to deers for quite some time, and own a few pieces of clothing deer-related but I haven't questionned it further, yet :3 How did you all discovered your hearttypes ? The concept is quite new to me ^^ What made something so special to you, that you found out it was a hearttype ?

ours are owls and pallas cats. we started to question owls as a kintype because even other people send us owl pictures and say "this is you," but it doesn't feel like one. we're just very close to them. neither are particularly rare, and we enjoy them equally.

For me I feel like Owl is a potential kintype, but I've never been able to fully confirm it, I just feel like my 'essence' and my heart place importance on, or similarity to owls. I dunno. It's not too deep for me. I just feel like they're important to me in a significant way, and want them to be at least a portion of my identity

For us our only friends for a sizable chunk of our younger years were chickens. While humans rejected and bullied us at school, chickens accepted us into their flock without a hint of discrimination. They didn't care what we looked like, they saw us as simply another chicken, and so we see them as our family, as they saw us.

our partner is very much like that with cats.

he isn't a cat himself but says he was raised by a cat, and all cats are family, now. his biological family was never supportive or accepting of him, but cats gave him unconditional love.

There wasn't really a discovery process to my hearttypes, once I learned the term, it just made sense. Mine are avians and dragons. I also have vaguetypes in each category (dracomon x and Ga'Hoole owl) but I feel a kinship with all birds and dragons in general outside of those as well. I knew they were hearttypes vs "just liking" something because of the intensity and the impact they have on my life.

Hhg Ga’Hoole owls are amazing. The movie they’re in actually contributed to finding out something was off with my humanity because I craved flight so badly watching the movie xD

I love the movie omg even as someone who read the books first. It's just so beautiful!

not that I'd be biased

Similar for me, once i know what hearted was, I knew galliforms, sea birds, herons, etc, all those birds i loved but did not fit in an identity manner were heart types. Was harder with dragons, and so they have a sort of middle ground in my identity between kin and kith, where i definitely see myself as a dragon, but my vision of myself as a dragon is very nebulous and includes a ton of lesser facets i don't quite identify as but are still Me in a sort of representative way.

Still questioning (kin) from Ga'Hoole but i suppose it would help if I could muster the attention span to actually read them all

The individual books are short, but there is like 18 of them dragnsweat
