Am going to share my shinies first! I absolutely love mammoth ivory since it’s a combination of a fossil and a nice natural material, so I got these pieces of mammoth ivory jewelry! I love the crosshatching displayed on them (edited)
2:04 am
I also have this little mammoth ivory tooth pendant and it has a very nice coloring to it!
2:07 am
Oh, I also have this little statue as well! I love all the different patterns on it.
The skulls and bones of ivory bearing dragons upon Aiiithhaaiiill'iiill'Phhiiirriiitthaallkkaa are highly prized for carvings and other forms of art, so I probably got my love of mammoth ivory upon this earth directly from that.
Of course, the dragons themselves aren't hunted specifically for that reason, though stray bones from naturally deceased ivory bearing dragons are constantly searched for.
That is good lol. Hunted ivory is not good imo qwq
Same here! I have a small amethyst I love a lot. Though I mostly just like colourful shiny things mostly so I can be very happy with glasswork that mimics gemstones!
Eee ikrrr I’m so glad I was able to get it! Surprisingly enough, it was only 10$! Though the “gems” are definitely glass, which I am happy about since I highly dislike plastic “gems” xD
Okay I share more precious items now! This is a smudging fan I bought from a local Native American elder for my 21st earthen birthday! I use it in smudging rituals to honor the earth, the elements, and the divine draconic creation entity of my home world. During smudging rituals, thanks and reverence is often given to an entity(s) known as “the creator”, so by thanking the creator entity of my home world when doing indigenous rituals, I still follow the ritual by how it’s supposed to be done.

This is the abalone shell I use for rituals, I have a little moon shaped quartz inside of the bowl to help my being connect with my draconity during smudging rituals and I also grew a resurrection plant in the shell to bless it with the gift of life.
Here’s another smudging fan from the same Native American elder that I got for chrimmas! I’m not sure what kind of horn the feathers are attached to, though all I know is that I love the colors the horn has
Okay I share more of my things now, this is a piece of Navajo horse hair pottery with a hummingbird and turquoise on it! The hummingbird looks a little sad though I still love the piece!
Here are some other pieces of Navajo horse hair pottery that I own! I love looking at the patterns and colors they have… hecc. The first two are known as “rainbow Navajo horse hair pottery”.
Oh that looks gorgeous. I like the feather shape of the repeating pattern!
Wonder if there's some that pair the rainbow pigment with the first one's more defined feather shape(edited)
I treated myself to what was probably an overpriced Pokémon card pack and this was part of the box. I'm not that big of a fan of the franchise but I am a sucker for free art lol
These are all my shiny trinkets, which I find wherever I go :3
If it shines, I will find it
More than the trinkets themselves, it's the act of finding them that I like ✨
Very much so. She wrote something like that in every book that I got, but this one I think is by far the most special. This book also happens to be a side story about a character feeling inexplicably a very tight connection to a dragon. It's almost as if she could read my mind in some way, as if she knew she was writing to a dragon when she wrote that down. It's a bit freaky.
My Triple-Screen Super-Heavy Duty PC. Three 4K 28" monitors. Sometimes playing games on this thing in Triple-Screen Mode can be overwhelming. The fact that even Minecraft wraps around your peripheral vision and you could notice something sneaking just around the corner of your eye really changes how immersive it gets.
I rarely game on this though. I mostly use this for work/projects. (edited)
cw animal bones, fur, taxidermy
i realized y'all have never seen my hoard before, my favorite items would have to be my alligator head, my bronze dragon statue, my blue rabbits foot and my framed picture of my grandpas obituary

cw for mentions of death/funerals
when my grandpa had his funeral, family from india came to mourn and were surprised by how "boring" it was, and i found out that indian funerals are pretty extravagant and honestly kinda lit, and was shocked that he wasnt buried with traditional clothing (he was buried in his favorite vacation shirt and shorts with his Royals slides and hat)

I always have found it interesting how different cultures handle death and mourning. Like here, it's generally accepted to make funerals a solemn occasion. Some people go for a "celebration of life" instead of a traditional funeral, but some people frown on them here. Meanwhile other cultures basically have giant parties to send off the deceased.

Since we're sharing desk photos, here's mine!
It's a U-shaped desk and these images are (if they load properly) from left to right around the loop. My computer desktop background art was done by the fabulous TheBlackArrow on DeviantART; it me!

Yeah, there is very, very few Dutch books featuring dragons. I have a few in my collection, and even a list somewhere of Dutch books i still want to collect.

Nawrrrr. that's unfortunate. Definitely get Dragan Duma next to you visit, though you'll probabably need to order it as it is somewhat obscure. Ask your local book store. ^ ^

tbh that makes it even cooler, I love when something can be artistically changed to look like something "more valuable". In my eyes that gives it a greater value than if it was just naturally that way and an artist simply ("just" lol) carved it into a dragon
One of my most cherished possessions is a clay horse a very, very dear friend gifted to me on a whim. My mom accidentally knocked it off my bookshelf while she was dusting one time and the front legs and the tail broke off. My dad glued it back together but there are obvious seams now. It doesn't make it any less beloved, though!
Although no one would want something of theirs damaged, I think it sometimes can add to the story of the statue. You might be sad or angry (at yourself or someone else) right when it happens, in the long run it has its charm.

Doesn’t work with everything, but little figures or statues are a contender.
I agree. Like, my mom is not a sentimental person at all. Photographs are about the only thing she's really sentimental about. But. She has this tea set her father gave her for a wedding gift. Basically the only gift he ever gave her. They were never close, he had traumas that were never dealt with and it made him kinda cold and distant. But y'know, you tend to love your parents regardless if they aren't completely worthless. Well one day she accidentally broke two of the cups and one of the saucers while dusting (again with the dusting, I feel like it's a life lesson: don't dust unless absolutely necessary, or something) and she was devastated. It probably didn't help that her father had only recently passed away (progressive ALS) at the time it happened. My dad painstakingly pieced their shattered remains back together and he did such a good job you can't tell unless you run your fingers over them and can feel the micro cracks and little lumps from the glue.
The statue Lovers dragons is located in the Sea Garden of Varna, near the swimming complex Primorski . The sculpture was created in October 2010 and from then it causes different reactions and numerou
